Fits between the trailing arm and the chassis bracket on an independent suspension and damps the coil spring so the van settles after a bump instead of bouncing. Fit it in place of the original shock absorber once it weeps oil or the van wallows on corrugations. Measure the old unit eye centre to eye centre at full extension and full compression, 477 mm and 305 mm, and check the 16 mm eye against the bolt on your mount.
